Texting for Lesson Hooks

Students are rarely without their mobile device and SMS messages are available on nearly every device.  A great way to get students thinking about the concept being covered in class the next day is to send them an SMS (text) message with an image, a video, or a short text-based message with something interesting relating to the topic.  Don’t worry, you don’t have to give students your phone number or get theirs.  You can use tools like Remind to send the message without your information.
