Overlay Maps

Overlay Maps is a nice tool that could be used to show the differences in size, region, etc.  Overlay allows you to choose from countries, states, lakes/rivers, and other features to compare.  In the example below, I “overlayed” Australia onto New Zealand to get an idea of the difference in size.  I think this tool could be very useful for social studies or literature teachers comparing places they are studying, world language teachers showing the differences between where the languages they are studying are spoken, or math teachers studying concepts like square miles and area.  You may want to check out this cool tool.
