Wix website

Wix was shared with me by Rachel during the Seattle, WA session of Best, New Strategies for Using Mobile Strategies to Enhance Learning.  Rachel explained how she uses Wix for her students to create websites that are free and professional looking as an ePortfolio to save and display their learning artifacts.  Students can use templates or design their own site and upload or embed the learning objects that they create in class.

ePortfolios are a great way for students take charge of their education and to show evidence of their learning.  There are many tools available to create ePortfolios, Wix is one of them.

  1. I would like to use the Wix program to teach website design. My students have google drive accounts and are able to log on with that email address. Is this something parents need to give permission to?

  2. Actually the wix.com terms of service require that creators be 18 years old.

    • Hi Catherine,

Thanks so much for pointing this out. I should have noted that the teacher may have to create the account. I have edited the post- thanks for the reminder!
