Monday Success: Educreations

Feb 18, 2013 by

Every week on Monday I  share a classroom success story that started with teachers using technology.  PLEASE SHARE your stories of success in the classroom so other teachers are willing to take chances too!  Today’s success is from Jennifer Greer, a teacher in Alabama who sent me the following e-mail:

“I teach students with intellectual disabilities and autism. All of my students have a difficult time with communication/ speech and language. I am simply amazed with the app Educreations. It is an app that is easy to use- basically transforms your iPad into a recordable whiteboard. I am recording my students reading reports. When I play it back for them to watch they want to record again. They are speaking slower and words are easier to understand. It is instant feedback and they love it!! It is also great because I can email projects for parents to see. I am getting a lot of positive feedback from parents as well. Below you can find a link to watch a lesson that only took minutes to create.”

Educreations is also popular with a lot of math and science teachers who are flipping their classrooms because of the ability to record your voice while showing students the work on the interactive whiteboard.  Thank you for sharing your success, Jennifer, and please continue to do so!
