Instagrok in the Classroom

Jan 19, 2017 by

When I first discovered Instagrok, I featured it on the blog because I thought it was such an amazing tool for searching with its unique mapping feature. Below is a great idea for how you can use it in the classroom.

Ms. Oldshue loves using Instagrok with her 3rd graders for searching.  She finds that Google and Wikipedia are overwhelming for her students and Instagrok is a great tool for them to start with as they plan their science projects.  Each student starts with a key word and then the web of ideas allows them to explore the topic further in the form of articles, statistics, images, and videos.  Students take notes right on the Grok and use the journal pages to start writing up the topic they are studying.
