Augmented Reality for Vocabulary

Sep 30, 2015 by

Augmented reality has many uses in the classroom and this strategy can be used with the academic vocabulary for any subject area.

Use paired association to teach vocabulary or sight words.  Using an AR app such as Aurasma, teachers can match an image with the corresponding word.  Students can then use their device to scan the word and see what it is.

Make it Mobile: Add the next level of engagement by giving students the vocabulary words and asking them to create the “Auras” from images they find outside the classroom.
